Dr. Stephanie Pobocik, PT, DPT
In 2008, Stephanie received duel Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Medical Technology from the University of Michigan-Flint with a minor in Gerontology. During her undergraduate program, she completed an internship with the University of Michigan-Flint’s Physical Therapy Department implementing an exercise program at a local senior center. This encouraged her to pursue a degree in physical therapy and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2011. After graduation, Stephanie has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics along with home health. She treats a wide range of diagnosis including neck and back pain, sciatica, balance and gait issues, vestibular disorders, chronic pain, extremity pain, sport injuries, post-surgery conditions, and the promotion of overall health and wellness. Her interests include the evaluation and treatment of spinal and sacro-iliac alignment dysfunctions using muscle energy technique, manual manipulation, movement patterns, and soft tissue mobilization.
She has completed continuing education courses in the following areas:
- McKenzie diagnosis and treatment of the lumbar spine
- Williams diagnosis and treatment of the lumbar spine
- Muscle Energy Treatment of the cervical, thoracic, ribs, lumbar, and sacrum
- Kinesiotaping for facilitation, inhibition, stabilization and swelling of joints and muscles
- Post-surgical rehabilitation of total shoulder, total knee, and total hip replacements
- Myofascial release utilizing muscle enhancer technique
- Graston
- Core stabilization
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is on the Education sub-committee for the MPTA Conference Committee.
Stephanie and her husband enjoy living in the Frankenmuth area with their son and spending time with family and friends.
