Doctor of Physical Therapy
Jerome Adams received his Bachelor of Health Science degree with a focus on Physical Therapy at the world renowned University of Michigan Flint. He completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy also at the University of Michigan. He is licensed with the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy and is certified as a Kinesio Taping Practitioner.
Since graduating from the University, He has continued with post-graduate education in a variety of techniques. Some include Principles of Manual Medicine, Integrative Systemic Dry Needling, MDT The Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar spine, Fundamentals and Advanced Kinesio Taping, and Muscle Energy.
Dr Adams was a presenter at the 15th International World Confederation of Physical Therapy Congress in Vancouver, Canada were he spoke about Aerobic Exercise Training and the Effects in African American Women with Breast Cancer. His professional career has been in a variety of different roles. From Staff Physical Therapist and Clinical instructor to Physical Therapy Director and now owner of Horizon Physical Therapy Flint.
In his spare time, Dr. Adams is an active member of the Flint community. He is the president and founder of Flint’s Finest Basketball Club. It is a youth non-profit basketball organization. Currently the club has four teams of kids ages 9-16 that play in events around the state of Michigan. He is also on the board of directors for the YMCA, a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Kinesio Taping Association.
